Long before watching Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor in Moulin Rouge I have been fascinated with it. The dancing, the naughtiness of the whole dance. I fell in love with Satine and as I watched it one Saturday morning in a very empty cinema I cried for what might have been. My daughter gave … Continue reading Moulin Rouge – Can Can

Crepes
We did stop for lunch near Notre Dame. We chose crepes made with buckwheat. The actual crepe was ok but the filling was a little bit off. You can see Notre Damm from where we were sitting.
How to spend a few hours in Paris!
As in our previous post our tour of the city was cut short due to a failed terrorist plot on the Eiffel Tower the day before. So our planned tour was cancelled as they had shut all tours down for 48 hours. So we were dropped off at the Jardin Des Tuileries. This was my … Continue reading How to spend a few hours in Paris!
Paris – Tour of the City
Our coach tour was to start at 8.30 so we went down to breakfast around 7am. So much food on offer, cooked breakfast, breads, fruits. No reason to starve that's for sure. After breakfast we all assembled in the foyer of the hotel to have a head count done. Do not want anyone to miss … Continue reading Paris – Tour of the City

Bonjour, Bonsoir, Salut, Au revoir!

Paris
We arrived in Paris around 5ish. Our cruise director was there waiting to hand out our room keys. Paula and I got rooms on the 3rd floor, Muriel on the 6th floor. Some had been upgraded and Muriel was one of them. Our room was amazing, but Muriel's was outstanding. Muriel had a balcony, in … Continue reading Paris
