My wonderful blogger friend Bea over at https://beafreee.com recently did this amazing Travel Tag. Please go and check her blog out. When I saw the Travel Tag post I was like ” yes I must do this one”
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE THAT YOU HAVE VISITED?
So many places over the years. The Grand Canyon, The Mountains in Utah, The Hinterland behind Cairns, The beautiful white sandy beaches along the coast of Western Australia, London, Malaysia, The stark barren outback in Australia. Germany, Switzerland, Belguim and the Netherlands.
They all have their own wonderful and amazing things to do and see. It has to be Paris. I fell in love with Paris the moment I breathed in her intoxicating scent. She is quirky, the cobbleston roads and paths, the parks where you sit and look at the lawn and the gardens.

IF YOU COULD VISIT ANYWHERE TOMORROW WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
Somewhere warm. It’s so cold here in Victoria Australia. Yes , I know it’s not as cold as where it snows….but its our cold. I would fly to Cairns in Queensland or perhaps Perth Western Australia. What about Zurich? It was warm there last year. The Zurich Lake is beautiful, I can imagine myself swimming in the lake with my dogs.

WOULD YOU RATHER GO ON A CITY HOLIDAY OR A BEACH HOLIDAY?
Do I have to choose. Why not a city at the beach?
This year we are starting out holiday in Nice before we do a river cruise up the Rhine then the Seine in France.
MY TOP THREE HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS ARE:
My camera
My phone
My crossover bag to carry my camera and phone.

Having a well-earned drink in Paris after shopping. You can just see my cross over bag.
ARE YOU AN OVER PACKER OR AN UNDER PACKER?
I have always been an over packer. I take everything, and wear only half of what I take. I over think my pack. I pack several times over, putting things in my suitcase, then taking everything out again. Making piles – trousers, tops, jumpers…I even remove some of the clothes and put them back in my wardrobe. Yet i still take too much.
Last year on the Europe cruise, we had a weight limit no more than 20 kg. So somehow I packed light. Going over it was about 10 kg and coming home 15 kg, see I really cut down. This year the trip to Europe, I will pack even lighter. I did wear everything I packed last trip. Now that would be a first. I think all those blogs on packing got through my very thick brain.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT GOING ON HOLIDAYS?
Meeting new people. The architecture, the history of the country I am visiting. The museums. Australia is a relatively young country compared to Europe.

Richard, who we met on the cruise.

WOULD YOU RATHER GO ON HOLIDAYS WITH FAMILY OR FRIENDS?

3 Sisters
Both. I have had many holidays and adventures with my bestie Lyn. We have been down to Busselton south of Perth many times. A couple of years ago we went to Sydney and then to Port Stephens in New South Wales where we stayed with a friend of Lyns. Last year was amazing being with my 2 sisters we got on really well together. Considering this was our first time we had been overseas together.
WHAT IS THE MOST ADVENTUROUS DISH YOU HAVE EVER TRIED FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY?
Snails. Had these in Paris, although I have eaten them here in Australia. Cooked by French chefs.
