If you have yet to visit Rouen in Normandy France perhaps this might entice you to put Rouen on your list. I still say “pinch me” that we happened to be in Rouen to see it.
Every summer between June and September a free Cathedral Light Show takes place in Rouen with dazzling illuminations projected on the building’s façade. Last years light show was based on Joan of Arc and the Vikings.
Just before 10pm we settled ourselves in to watch. Nothing could prepare us for such a stunning display of lights and music.

When it finished, we stood there for a few moments knowing that what we had witnessed was nothing short of stunning.

How beautiful. My husband and I were privileged to visit Normandy about seven years ago and it was a wonderful, life-changing experience. We did not, however, get to see the light show. Amazing. If we make it back, I may have to schedule around the show. Thanks for sharing.
