1 Get your doctor to refer you to a respiratory doctor who knows about Lam.
2 Have a high-resolution CT Scan. As X-rays often show the lungs to be normal.
3 Abdominal CT Scan – It may show up that you also have renal angiomyolipomas – fatty kidney tumors.
4 Lung function tests (spirometry) – Lung function tests are not to diagnose Lam but to measure the severity of Lam. Regular lung function tests once diagnosed are used to monitor the process of Lam.
